Let's see what he does when they go up against a good defensive team.

Has anyone pressured him yet? Those numbers are way impressive and we knew that Mumme had that sort of gameplan so good for Chase. I hope he keeps it up.
But didn't you hear, 2006 is the year of the running back in the WAC. Younis, Wright, Johnson, Bird....who else???

UNM did blitz a lot and he did get sacked
a number of times.
Half the numbers are against a
1-AA. And of course, the spread is supposed to give
the QB a ton of numbers.
But he looks good throwing the ball and seemed to
be in control of the offense.

He has been sacked 9 times this year, and still has put up big numbers. His offense has fumbled already 8 times this year as well.

Hubbard...if he can stay healthy. He got "the wind knocked out of him" and sat much of the second half against FSU...then played part time against ASU (bruised ribs and knee). Nonetheless, he's 4th in WAC rushing and averaging 6.0 yd/carry.
However, IMHO, Wright is the man.

I really like Chase. The QB position at NMSU was upgraded big-time with his introduction.
Colt can't let him get too far ahead...or they're will be no catching him.
I think NMSU wins again this week...and Chase lights up the scoreboard.

I would hope so playing Texas Southern.

Chased had 347 yards throught the air on Saturday. Giving him about 1200 on the season. Note: he only played three quarters, and was taken out at the start of the fouth.
