CSTV Question
I posted a question over on the MWC board. As of this post no one has responded to the question.
Reno now has the OLN network on Charter tv channel 406 and CSTV on channel 411. The Nevada @ Nevada Southern game is 9/30/06/. Charter can't tell me if the game is televised on OLN or CSTV in Reno. CSTV is only showing the late game as SMU/Tulane on their schedule. The NSU website says that the NV/NSU game is on the MTN. Is it only shown in Las Vegas? If that's the case it sure looks like limited broadcast area. I thought the MTN is shown on OLN and CSTV. If it's only shown in Las Vegas, that could hurt actual fan attendance at Sam Boyd Stadium. This whole thing is a little confusing.

A poster says it is currently in Utah, Colorado and New Mexico, so cable access even with getting OLN and CSTV looks very limited at this point. He says that the MTN is a super regional network.at this point. What about the Texas, Wyoming, Nevada and California MWC schools ? CSU fans would just crap their pants, if Nevada denied the broadcast rights back to Ft Collins this season. Maybe that's what regional broadcasting will come too. The way I see it , if CSTV denies the WAC broadcast rights, then it should be tit for tat in a WAC Stadium. Some how I think CSTV values an occasional MWC/WAC game higher than I do. Isn't the whole idea just be be able to follow your home team? I'm glad I have a radio.

I got the impression that the mtn was a completely different channel, which would mean that it wouldn't be on the CSTV or OLN channels.

Neither. It's on The Mountain at 7:00pm Pacific standard time.

Which means that maybe 2 dozen MWC fans will see this game on the tube.

That seems rather optimistic for a UNLV game.
