Nebraska on Jan. 11, Mississippi State on Jan, 18, Memphis on Jan. 25, and to Southern Miss on Feb. 1.

He was going to visit Ole Miss on Jan. 11, but plans for that visit have been changed to accommodate a Nebraska trip.

For those that don't think we recruit well, when was the last time we were official visits with the likes of Nebraska, MSU, and USM. Granted Nebraska is down a bit but still is a BCS school with A LOT of history and NCs and has Tom Osborne as the AD.
Closers make good recruiters.

He is going to visit Memphis, KY, North Carolina

is Coach Ingram still camping out at Whitehaven?

As much as he can under the rules. We are in a dead period so we can only call players once a week.

I understand your point. However, even just a few years ago, many athletes would not put one of their few official visits to a campus as Memphis if they were considering other BCS schools. It does show how far the school has come in recruiting. Also, when was the last time we had a couple of CA recruits come here? I'm not saying we've arrived by any standard. But, we have to admit we've come a long way.

We have kids all the time visit here, that have high major offers. This is nothing new. What would be new is if one of them chose to come here.

RE: Football Visiting Dates Update
For a school like Memphis you have to get the foot traffic thru the school so the recruits can get a feel for it and the program. With enough kids coming thru they will spread the word on what they saw and felt. Hopefully the stigma that seems attached to the football program will go away and more top recruits will chose Memphis to play ball at.

Go to this website and click on the NEWS link. There are several stories on B J Daniels. He would be a great player to add.

RE: Football Visiting Dates Update
The original number of scholarships available was 16.

Then a couple were added due to some players leaving? Hudgens for baseball, and another? Is there an injured football player that may not come back? My point is - a few scholarships may open up that push the total to 18 or higher.

If 18 is the final number, then how about this breakout of recruits:
- 2 QBs (JC transfer Hall for immediate use and one of the HS kids for redshirt and future use)
- 1 RB
- 1 WR (Rucker would be my personal choice - local kid)
- 3 OL
- 2 DT
- 2 LB
- 4 DB (Ideally snag Mitchell)

Save the final scholarship for the best walk-on who excels in spring drills.

Nothing in the rules that say that there is a time limit on the call, how about a eight hour call. ( that might be a negative thing)
