Yeah, that's always a good way to choose a candidate. 01-wingedeagle

Question...is this election going to be Democrat vs Republican, or just the top 2 at the end?

It's a public poll. You can easily see who has voted and see if they are a legit. member.

Oops - I mean it's really just me voting over and over again. The Luntz polls can't possibly be wrong. 03-melodramatic

Ron Paul must be cheating. Thats why he's doing so well. Expect to hear the same thing after a few of the primaries are over.

I'd much perfer a far right neocon/facist than a socalist any day. Of course, I suppose that's all a matter of perspective, no?

On another note, although I'm a Fred supporter, I recently got a ton a literature about Ron Paul. Before today I was strongly opposed to his possible Presidency. Now...well, he still isn't my first choice, but he is no longer my last. We shall see.

That it is, just dont cry if you vote in a republican who continues george bush's country-crippling policies.

Youd have to be blind to not see how much worse off we are now then we were 7 years ago.

Its not just GBs policies that are crippling us...Legislative corruption on both sides of the isle has equal impact.

Then I suppose I'm blind. Certainly there are some specific areas in which we are worse off. The price of gas for example I suppose. But there are other ways where, in my opinion, we are better off, like security and the makeup of the Supreme Court. As far as I'm concerned, we are better off overall now than 7 years ago. But again, that would depend on perspective, and what values/morals/ethos a person holds.

As to Bush's country-crippling policies, we would probably agree there. Not on what policies of his were/are crippling, but the fact that he certainly has some. For you, I imagine, it would be the war in Iraq, where for me it would be his push for amnesty for law breaking foreigners. If someone were to poll me right now and ask my opinion of Bush, it would be quite unfavorable. Now does that mean that I vote for someone who I honestly believe would cripple our nation (see Hillary, Obama, or John Edwards)? Or do I pick someone who I feel is correct in their world viewpoint, and then hope and pray they are better than Bush? The choice is clear. But even a complete Bush clone would be better than anyone the Dems are currently running. Again, JMHO.

As a quick disclaimer, I did NOT vote for Bush in 2000. That year I went 3rd party. But I did vote for Bush in 2004. Just FYI.

I wouldn't be surprised if these wingnuts choose Ron Paul at the end of the poll. They are sooooooooooo out of touch with mainstream America.
