Some sad news.
Larry Pfohl, aka Leg Luger, aka Mercer senior Brian Pfohl's dad is apparently paralyzed after suffering a spinal stroke (whatever that is). I looked on the Mercer site and noticed that he doesn't list his dad, just the "Son of Peggy Pfohl." Hopefully "The Total Package" will get better and he and his son will work out any differences they may or may not have.

Wow. Lex Luger. But he regained movement according to Diamond Dallas Page's blog: http://www.diamonddallaspage.com/msg/12172007/

Quote:... the positive side is Lex is regaining movement back in his body and he hopes and prays that someday he will walk again and I believe if there is anyone out there that can do it ... it is Lex...

RE: Some sad news.
Well I never saw him at a Mercer game during my recent 4 years there. That says a lot. Even if my son hated me for all the right reasons. I would still show up and sit or stand in the back. They would have to throw me out.

On a positive note Pfohl has become an outstanding player for us over the years, and I even enjoyed watching his father wrestle when I was a kid. Hopefully for his sake his injury will not leave him paralyzed like the above blog mentions.

I wish the best of luck to each person in their respective situations.

Well he was in jail for a stretch for posession. They caught him with the stuff that apparently everyone in baseball has been taking.

RE: Some sad news.
Lex Luger was one of my favorite pro wrestlers when I was a kid. I always wondered why he never had an extended reign as world champion but, after growing up, I eventually learned that he had all kinds of private problems behind the scenes. The last time I remember reading anything about him was when he and Miss Elizabeth, Randy Savage's ex-wife and former manager, were doing a cocaine binge and she died from an overdose a few years ago. Incidents like that might help explain any possible estrangement between he, his wife, and his son. The assumption seems to be that his son does not list him for personal reasons rather than for the purpose of avoiding any unwanted publicity or undue fan harrassment. Hopefully the elder Lawrence Pfohl will be able to recover to some degree and the younger Brian Pfohl will come through this ordeal as well as possible.
