Teams I view as BYU's biggest rivals:

1. Utah 04-chairshot (yes, I realize the colors of this smiley are ironic)
2. Utah State -- Played them close to the # of Utah encounters.
3. Hawai'i -- BYU has a campus on the islands; volleyball is biggest
4. Wyoming -- Pokes are more obsessed with us, but I'll count it as a big rivalry
5. UNLV -- Southern Nevada's 10% Mormon and right next to Utah, so naturally there's tension. Baby rivalry that should get much bigger.
6-10. MWC teams
11. Notre Dame -- BYU is like the west coast, Mormon version of ND. So it's an interesting matchup. Many more games supposedly scheduled for the future.
12. Arizona State -- Just west of Utah-South, aka Mesa. Would be good if we played them more. Last played regularly in the old WAC.

Bluma, glad to see Utah St in that list. Many BYU fans would deny that. ;-) I know Utah St hasn't won a game in football in a long time, but they've been close.

USU's most hated "rival" is BYU. It has been so one sided lately that I hesitate to call them a rival. However they do really bring a strong reaction to the fanbase.

The oldest "rival" is Utah. The teams have squared off 105 times and though it has been pretty one sided, especially recently, it is one of the oldest series in college football.
