Ok, momentum is back in our corner and we should build off of it. I think we have several intelligent people here that could come together with something effective to build upon the articles. We should all put our egos aside and come together on an idea and approach the football foundation on it. I am all for meeting on here for a live chat or face to face meeting with everyone on the board. Lets here ideas and opinions. I agree that a meeting would be good. Hopefully, sometime before the app game. One idea I have is handing out a copy of all the articles to the fans entering the game. Another one is to go on the app board and any of them that are coming maybe giving them signs/shirts that say something like app fan/ buc football supporter.

If this is done, someone PLEASE make sure that the students that do care about football are involved in this.

I'm in. I won't disgrace the basketball team that is on the court (which I can't imagine anyone wanting to do) but I am ready to take it to the administration!

I know the perfect time to do it would be at the Appalachian State game, but that date is quickly approaching and right in the middle of the holiday season. What about the January 5 conference home opener against USC Upstate. That way we would be making a statement during a conference opener and it will give us some time. Like almost everyone has said, if we do this we need to take our time and do it right. What about setting up a meeting Saturday, December 29 or Sunday, December 30 after the APP game?

ETSUAlum, I have to disagree with you. App State is coming off of three football national titles and we have an unfinished soccer stadium. If there is ever an example of football importance it is Appalachian. We will probably even get some support from the App fans. This is the perfect time to start putting the pressure back on the so-called athletic dept. and administration to get things back on track.

Ever considered a sit-in?

Go to the game, cheer on the basketball team...and after the game is over, refuse to leave for a couple of hours.

That way you fully support the basketball team, you get your points across

...and you annoy the living hell out of the admin who will have to decide if they are going to have to try and forcibly remove people from a building during a peaceful protest...the fact that you would be sitting-in at the former football stadium would have great irony (the press would probably eat that stuff up).

I think the idea of t-shirts is a good one. They could be worn to every game but also outside of games around the area. People would see them and want one and the whole thing could really grow. It would be a great way of showing where we stand.
