BOSSMAN Wrote:WOW! You have heard the wrong story my friend. It so sad when you hear a fifth hand story on something and claim it as the truth.
I would never say much less post something about someone until I heard it from them. I would have thought better of you Derby?
All of what you have just posted is complete false and someone else's version of what happened 16 YEARS ago.
The rest is just hate and I will not respond to negative rants. SAD!
You just did!!
Case in point: avoiding answering the questions.

RE: Does BOSSMAN really deserve it?
My biggest complaint is that he is "allowed" to use this site to advertise his wares.
Please notice that he doesn't even have one blue medal to show that he has ever contributed to this site. For someone who gets more out of this than most (promotion), I would call that freeloading.
Other than that, I can't blame the guy for finding a way to make a living around something that he loves. If you don't like the blob, don't buy it. Don't like the quality don't buy it. If he can sell it, more power to him.

If BOSSMAN really wanted to help the university, he wouldn't call attention to himself. He is his own worst enemy. He has no sales tact, and clearly not much business sense. He dodges direct questions, he copies other people's concepts and call them his own. His 2011 calendar of Tiger apparel adorning pretty women will be great I guess... as we continue to wait on his 2008 calendar, so don't get your hopes up. His website has gone public, with what? I suspect legal issues, but only he knows.
He gets tossed out of the Forum for not having the proper permits to sell his stuff on the premises. His custom (one-timers) stuff is nice, but what he sells in volume is crap, low-grade material, destined for the trash in less than one year. He doesn't donate to help, he donates to promote.
His routine is schlocky, low-brow, tiring to read through, and caters to the feeble-minded so he can make a buck off you later.
In other words, He's a gypsy?

Just curious....I don't understand.
GO TIGERS,
Wes
I'd respond, but you're obviously one of bossman's "guys". What that implies is between you and him.
I've never met the man just curious why some like him and some just can't stand the man. Wasn't trying to start a fight I was just curious. Everytime I read a thread he posts in somebody will randomly call him out.
I am getting some explanations to say the least.

Perhaps that explains the incorrectness of our warmups and road uniforms.

It isn't quite as simple as if he can sell it; more power to him. A lot of the stuff that has the school's name on it; which projects an image of us in public that is seen by others, is cheap and an embarassment.

Can anyone confirm the first paragraph? If so, this explains it all. I HAVE MY THESIS!
bueller?
BOSSMAN, if you say it is not true, then what IS the actual story?

I see your point, and I definitely don't want to be a defender of the freeloader. However, I don't think that his schlock negatively impacts the University, as much as it does the manufacturer and the purchaser. What I want to say is "cast your vote in the marketplace". IF you think it is crap don't buy it. If he can find customers that want to spend their money on it, then I can't begrudge the guy for making a living. I don't think that he should be allowed free promotion on this site, but that is up to the administration around here.

I'd like to hear YOUR side of the story BOSSMAN once and for all and maybe it will settle a few things around here.
