She may, as she has had several years to forgive him.
Then again, his beating of her may not allow her to forgive.
Very personal decision I would think.
I know one thing, she has come out the better person after leaving him.
Her career took off and she certainly looks better than he did.
Sad story, their life together.

I knew Ike and almost went on the road with him about ten years ago. I have a pic of him with the autograph, "What's love got to with it...not a damn thing". The movie depicts him in a harsh light but it is also a fair and accurate one. That being said, Ike was a pioneer in the music business. He was responsible for ferrying talent from the delta to Memphis for Sam Phillips, made the first rock and roll record, Rocket 88, and found Tina...not too shabby. He told the best stories, like Sam Phillips, and as long as the whiskey lasted, you were in for a great time. I hoist my glass to Ike...he will be missed.
