Feline fibrosarcoma
My 12 year old cat has just been diagnosed with a fibrosarcoma tumor. Has anyone had any experiences with this type of cancer in a cat?

I felt a small lump (felt more like 2-3 little zit-type bumps) under his skin when i picked him up one night last week; otherwise he's not showing any ill effects, so I'm hoping this has been caught early.

He's being referred to MedVet, where they will probably do a CT scan and from there, maybe surgery, but everything I'm reading on the internet is scaring me to death. I think most of what I'm reading is very late-stage type of stuff.

Just thought I'd check & see if anyone else has had any experiences with this & the types of treatment.

I'm not a cat person but just wanted to let you know that your cat is in my prayers. Hope everything will be ok.

Thank you! Yeah, needless to say, it's been a hard week waiting to hear back on this...this is the first pet I've ever had, and I'm 33, so he's my buddy...he's been with me ever since I've been out on my own, since I was 21.

My husband, I'm sure, thinks I'm about two steps away from the loony bin.01-wingedeagle 01-wingedeagle 01-wingedeagle
