Some Football Info
Thought ETSU fans might be interested in this article about the U of South Alabama starting a football program, with plans to become D-1. Don't think they've ever had a football program at USA. Wonder how their "business plan" differs from the one ETSU has tried for restoring football.

SD- I thought this summer you said that USA was looked down upon, and was looked upon as a lesser college.
Apparently not.

RE: Some Football Info
You're misquoting me, I think. I believe we were discussing whether Murry Bartow would be interested in the USA job. I think my response was that UAB fans in general, and probably the Bartows, have considered USA to be somewhat of a "low-rent" program. Don't think that's the term I used, but the point was that UAB folks don't look toward USA with much admiration. Because of that, I thought Murry Bartow would think he has a better situation at ETSU than he would at USA.
By the way, just because someone starts a football program doesn't prove they have a classy operation. And it's possible USA runs a better ship now than they did, say, 10 years ago, which is when I picked up my impression of the program.
