Great night for the BE. There was some pretty good teams relatively speaking, that the BE went up against tonight.

So far the BE leads the BE/SEC invitational 2-0, and we're up 6-3 over the Acc for the season. I hope we can keep a nice head to head against the Acc.

Nice wins by all

Big East is making the ACC and the SEC their biotch

This will help come selection Sunday--the Big East hopefully can get 9 teams in.

the best thing about it was 3 of the games were on espn and the talking heads were gushing about the big east all night. alexander and ruoff from west va were unconscious. didn't realize alexander had that much athletic ability and he can get his shot off on just about anyone with his size advantage. nice to know the experts picked them to finish number ten in the be. i hope this game lights a fire under hibbert and georgetown, it was their first real competition so far, and they looked flat at times, but like most good teams they just flipped the switch and made the plays they needed to down the stretch. great ooc win from syracuse, they beat a virginia team that was a darkhorse to contend in the acc this year and a sure tourney team.

Actually, I think the ACC is kicking our ass this year. My count says 5-4 with eight games left to play.

Duke 77 Marq 73
Miami 64 Providence 58
Miami 66 St Johns 47
Providence 98 BC 89
USF 68 FSU 51
S Hall 74 Vir 60
Syr 70 Vir 68
NC State 69 Vill 68
GT 70 ND 69

remaining games:

Duke Pitt
Duke St. Johns
Clemson DePaul
NC Rutgers
FSU Providence
WF USF
Cincy NC State
S Hall NC State

It's going to close to a 50-50 split on the remaining games IMO. The best teams of the ACC have 3 games against us and we only have Pitt in the top 10 playing and they play Duke. One point losses by ranked Vill and ND against a terrible GT team hurt. I still can't believe Miami is a basketball school. Their football team is playing like thier old BB team and their BB team- well, they really still suck anyways.

We do own the SEC though.

WVU currently leads the nation in margin of victory, and was +22 on turnover margin against Auburn. It looks like Huggyball is being played pretty well. The Mountaineers will hold up their end of the bargain OOC. I just wish they could have played Tennessee the way the played last night. If they had, they'd be unbeaten now if they'd have gotten past Texas instead of New Mexico State, who would have had to play Tennessee if WVU had won.

I think WVU's loss to UT is The BEast's only blemish against the SEC.

Yep, you are corerect frogman. Sorry fellas, but I looked at the Colley Matrix and view it backwards. I just assumed we were beating up the Acc because we do it almost every year. 04-rock

Here is the Colley Matrix link that gives the record of every conference against each other.

WVU looked very good last night. Tough, in your face defense, crashed the boards, and scored at will. Very impressive.

I miss Huggs...

I'm just happy we're beating the teams we're supposed to this year and that we have some multiple real scoring threats for the first time in recent memory. I don't expect the NCAAs by a long shot in a conference this deep but I think expecting to be at MSG and in the NIT after that is realistic with each win we grab.

I'm just glad that he is coaching in the BE. The group of bb coaches in this league is simply amazing.
