RE: Recruting vs. Rankings
It is because most of the recruiting reports are designed to sell subscriptions. It is really impossible to judge two different high school recruits that play in different levels of competition in two different regions.

Miami is loaded with "4 and 5" star recruits. They can't win half their games?

RE: Recruting vs. Rankings
The way those rankings work is the services look to see what schools are recruiting a kid. If a lot of the bigger schools are offering, his ranking goes way up. Of course, that presupposes those teams really know their talent. Sometimes they do. Sometimes they're so far off base it's funny.

Basically, those rankings are a decent indicator. But take it with a grain of salt. 07-coffee3

It is nice to see half of The BEast listed there. It would have been nicer if Syracuse wasn't on the list of the bottom 10.
