Quote:What an ugly, ugly game. The boys are in for a real surprise in practice this coming week...
Snart, do you have Huggies pratice schedule or something? Maybe he won't do anything with the team and instead think "oh well, the boys played their first pre-season game against a Division II powerhouse. We won, so I am going to sleep well tonight"..
He could be thinking that....but I sure as hell hope not!!!

After reading Huggies quotes, the one constant in his quotes are "some guys not preparing to play".
Its obvious now why Bennett, Harris etc etc didn't play in the game. Pretty simple point to get across to those guys: Play my way or sit your ass on the bench!!! No doubt, Huggy was making a good point!
It makes sense why Hoskins was getting IV's after the game.
What a great way to get your point across.
Good job, Bob!

I thought the game was entertaining. Washburn exposed a few defensive problems the cats have, and kept going to them over and over. Mainly, there wasn't any back side help when Colon was fronting his man down low. Washburn would just rotate the ball and throw it over the top of Colon for a easy shot. They did this at the start and it was still working in the 3rd OT. And on offense, the spacing wasn't very good and most people were packed down low. The Cat players kept bring the ball down low for a dribble or two, and Washburns smaller guys kept getting their hands on it.
Also, keep it mind, Washburn is one of the best div 2 schools around. They usually make the div2 tourney, and have been in the top 10 many times. They have good players just about every year.
But mainly I think it looked like a team playing its 1st game with a new coach/system. It will take a half season to get rolling. In my opinion.

Elias Wrote:Watching it? Was it on Powercat Passport? If so, I am going to start up my subscription this morning..
Please advise.
Thanks
It was on Passport, but I only watched it on there because I had gone home for the weekend. I go to K-State, so i should be at every home game during the season. There were several problems with Passport during the game last night, but hopefully those won't be regular occurrences. Maybe passport just needed an exhibition game too.
