My gut hunch is that the guys will be working on their defense tomorrow...

Well with knowing Huggins style for 16 years...I don't know how much of a hunch it is.

They had situational stuff this morning and a scrimmage in the late afternoon. I have a feeling the scrimmage was just like an exhibition game.

K-State probably also had a three hour practice before the scrimmage started so their legs were probably too tired to play much defense. Defense takes a whole lot more effort than offense does! But Huggins loves to do this kind of stuff. If everybody survived they will be better off for it...

MU has one of the best back courts in the country. James is a stud. I was thinking PG play was gonna be a weakness this year and especially wit Stewart not 100% so this positive news.

Apparently SI reporters were at the scrimmage today also. This after all we hear about them just waiting to pull the plug on a story on Huggins

SI reporters??? I thought no media was aloud in there, and SI I'd have to think would be the last media outlet aloud in considering their relationship with Huggins.

Dominic James is really tough to defend. I'm surprised he didn't score 40 points! This was a good test for our guys. I think it will pay big dividends in the future...

Bennett didn't play all that much in the scrimmage. Has not yet bought into the Huggins system which in a way surprises me. Remember Bennett was being recruited to Cincinnati while Huggins was there. Bennett wanted to play for Huggins, but now it seems Bennett does not want to do what it takes to become a player on this Huggins team. I would think it would be harder for a returning player, someone like C-Mart to buy in, but maybe its about maturity. Bennett still has a few years to become a player.

the 3 hour practices before a scrimmage is pretty much the norm for Huggins during NCAA tourneys also. He likes to rent high school gyms and then run hard grueling practices the day before an NCAA game. That stuff is what Huggins learned from the old school. Sadly, it usually cost UC a lot of NCAA games because of tired legs convert into poor shooting. Sadly, he never learned from the past with that and will be doomed to repeat it. Kansas State will play the hardest defense that K STATE fans will ever have seen. There won't be a lot of Offensive sets, just the High Low Offense...2 to 3 players will do the scoring. Please whup up on Texas Tech!!!!!
