For those of you who have watched the men's bball team live, who makes up your favorite line up and why?

Hard to say.

Honestly, I'm not sure through three games I could pick five. Every night it seems to be a different five playing well together.

I think that's a good problem to have.

RE: Favorite Line Up?
PG-Fisher I know a lot of you dont like the way he plays but i think he brings more energy to the floor than mincy+ mincy will probably be out for awhile with a wrist injury FYI if you guys did not know yet mincy was in a lot of pain on the court and could not dribble with his left hand
SG Sherman or Singletary both are superb players wouldnt mind if either were starting
SF Mckee- he is hot right now lights out from the 3
PF Scott no brainer
C Q another no brainer "praying next year to see parks and gabe in the same lineup" please let there be a miracle where they both can produce and play mac ball next year
6th man is rashad, again i know you guys dont like him but i know the kid personally and i talk to him 2-3x a week he wants kent to succeed and he cares for the team, he is still trying to learn the system and find his niche and when he does look out, some say he is lazy and not a banger i hope he proved some of you wrong today

1-Jordan Mincy(with a line up full of players who can score, it is not a neccesity @ this position. A floor general who does not turn the ball over is essential)
2-Al Fisher (if he proves to be a reliable defender he will be a great fit here, if not than sherman may be the answer)
3-Chris Singletary( intangibles and he creates matchup problems)
4-Mike Scott (his length and ability to quickly get off the floor compensates for his frame @ a position that is normally suited for bulkier players)
5-Haminn Quaintance (Although having his back to the basket does not take advantage of his athleticsim, his all around game allows for him to thrive @ this position)

I watched RW in particular this weekend. Overall, he looks tentative and not letting the game come to him. Still, while he doesn't take many shots, he sure doesn't miss many ( from memory I recall one miss yesterday, but didn't check the stats). And his shots are very strong, just a swosh.

He also held his own on defense. Noticed when he ot two fouls EHaut and JC were really on him, but let him play through.

Unfortunately, I did not get to see the Xavier on TV as I was working so I am just going on Web site reports. But I do like the fact we have eight or nine players who can play 25 minutes if necessary. It would help to have some semblance of a set rotation by the beginning of the MAC season, but there is no hurry. It would be nice to see one of the JUCOs either Woods or Fisher develop over the course of the season like Edwin, Youngblood, Smith have in past years. They might have the raw scoring ability other perimeter players don't have.

Miami has been really impressive, and everyone knew Western Michigan had potential. Everyone else looks like they are still feeling their way.

RE: Favorite Line Up?
Being able to play 10 players, it seems as if this is Kent's deepest team since 1998/99, which was Kent's deepest team ever. You may recall that the 1998/99 team also went 10 deep, and even 11 and sometimes 12. That team often substituted 5 for 5. The starters were Callaway, Andrew Mitchell, Ed Norvell, John Whorton and Kyrem Massey. The replacements were Trevor Huffman, Rashaun Warren, Eric Thomas, Geoff Vaughn and Nate Meers. Sometimes Al Moore was inserted, and I even recall Ryan Lerhke, a walk-on, filling in, depending on foul situations and injuries. It's not likely, but I wouldn't mind seeing a starting group of:

Quaintance, Sherman, Mincy, Scott and McKee

And a second platoon of:

Knight, Fisher, Singletary, Sullinger and Woods

Speaking of Miami, did anyone notice their OOC schedule?

11/13 Xavier W 59-57
11/22 at S Alabama W 64-59
11/24 at USC L 57-53
11/25 Miss St W 67-60
11/28 Dayton 7:30 PM
12/01 at #10 Louisville *2:00 PM
12/04 Indiana St 7:30 PM
12/15 at Wright St 7:00 PM
12/18 Chicago St 7:30 PM
12/20 at Illinois 7:00 PM
12/22 at #4 Kansas *1:00 PM
12/29 at Cincy 8:00 PM

If they continue to do well through this stretch, watch out come MAC season. And, also notice they don't have a player listed over 6'8" on their roster.
