RE: "John Calipari would have been perfect here": Thread on UK board very telling
Didn't weat beat the crap out of Kentucky last year? 80-63 Tigers. I don't really think that they could talk about our coaching and playing ability too much after taking a beating like that. Believe me, they all wish that they could have stolen Cal from Memphis. Jealousy is a helluva thing....

DallasTiger Wrote:I don't understand why Cal would have UK on probation when he has not had Memphis or U Mass on probation? The only problem was with Camby taking money from an agent without Cals knowledge or approval. Again, it proves a point, posters on basketball message boards know little about basketball. These are just confused fans trying to make sense out of a program that has fallen upon sad times. There will be more sad times this year for UK, so they better get used to it.
Didn't you read the dribble from the UK posters? It is because UK is discrminated against and everything is under a microscope. Haha, that is really laughable isn't it? Cal is clean and recruits his a$$ off, and schools like Kentucky can not stand it. Truth is, they are a football school now, and their basketball program and history are going right down the tubes. Been a while since 1997-98 season...and it will be a long time before they win an NC again.

16 years as a head coach and he has 0 violations of NCAA rules.
You don't understand. He just hasn't been caught yet. Cal will have us on probation in no time. lol
That isn't it. He is here and not at KY. The NCAA for no reason at all picks on them and has them under the microscope. 2 minutes after he stepped foot on their campus, he would be investigated because it is KY and then probation would start. The only reason that hasn't happened here yet is because we aren't KY.

Not to mention he's won more tournament games than Billy Gillisipie. If they wanted a coach who had an impressive resume' in the NCAA tournament they would've kept Tubby Smith.

They wrote the book on cheating in basketball.

I wish opposing coaches only thought this. That would make the wins come soooo much easier. Too bad opposing coaches know the truth.

We would have been on probation in a month. I hear they got crap on that guy feet deep. They'd use it if it he went to Kentucky.
If you don't think the NCAA is selective as to who they go after you are crazy. This isn't some ethical group of Franciscan monks. It's a political, biased group of "investigators" who have their minds made up when they show up. Kind of like Harry Potter's Death Eaters. Supposed to be neutral, but not really.

Wow, this guy must be one of those guys living in Utah that think everything is a conspiracy and the government is after them! I wonder if they ever stop and listen to what they tell each other. Incredible stupidity, but very entertaining.
The scary part is that some of those clowns live here!

Kentucky Basketball and Alabama Football couldn't be a better couple right now.
Coaches can't create miracles out of talent questionable players.
