been good actually.

Going to the Liberty Bowl to support my Dogs.

Sadly we didn't finish the season as strongly as I had hoped.

Yeah Fresno didn't do to well at the end but think about it. The number 4 WAC team beating up on the CUSA champion. Come on Dogs leave no doubt on which is the better conference. 04-rock

I sincerely think that UTEP made a mistake by moving to C-USA. I view C-USA as a watered-down conference with teams like:
Rice
Tulane
SMU
E Carolina
Houston
UAB
Tulsa
Central Florida

Granted, Memphis is a good basketball school. UTEP has been on the rise in football, lately, but traditionally has been terrible. In basketball, UTEP is typically a very good team. Marshall and So Miss have been good in football.

But, really, do any of these schools have the upside of a Boise St and Fresno St in football? Nevada has a very strong future in basketball and Hawaii and Utah St are no slouches.

Programs in the WAC that I see with bright futures in football include Utah St, Hawaii and even NMSU. In basketball, Fresno St has a very bright future and IMHO, will be a top 25 caliber team within the next 5 years. NMSU can say the same.

SJSU and Idaho are still question marks for me, but you could make arguements for both.

I just don't get too excited about the teams I've listed in C-USA, and I think the WAC is also on the right track to get TV exposure. Now if we could only get a 3rd and possibly 4th bowl connection.....
Can somebody please explain to me how C-USA has so many bowl tie-ins? It seems to me that their bowl tie-ins are based on their previous conference configuration which was formidable. I just don't see their conference being as strong with the current configuration.

After UTEP lost, Fresno St hands it to Tulsa, Nevada wins, Boise St beats Boston College and the WAC gets, at least, 2 teams in the dance, will there be any doubts? And can I also say that the WAC is a much more efficient conference where it is more regional now than it was previously! I think the regionality allows for larger budgets.
