Jeremy Childs is rewriting the BSU record book
If he stays healthy Jeremy Childs may break ALL of the records for receiving at Boise State.

The Boise State record for receptions in one season is currently 76 receptions in one season by Mike Wilson back in 1976. Jeremy Childs already has 67 receptions this season thru only 10 games. He needs 10 more receptions this season to break that record and Boise State will almost certainly have three games remaining this season.

The career receptions record at Boise State is held by Don Hutt. Hutt had 189 career receptions for Boise State from 1970-1973. Jeremy Childs, who is only a Sophomore this season, already has 81 career receptions at Boise State with three games left this season as well as all of the games during the 2008 and 2009 seasons.

The career record for receiving yards by an individual in one season at Boise State is 1,138 yards and is held by Billy Wingfield (2002). Jeremy Childs has 859 receiving yards so far this season. He needs 279 more receiving yards to break that record. But even if he doesn't break it this year he still has two more years to break that record after this season is completed.

The career receiving yards record at Boise State is held by Ryan Ikebe (1993-1996) at 2,751 career yards receiving. Jeremy Childs has 1,011 receiving yards so far in his career at Boise State with three games left this season and the 2008 and 2009 seasons yet to come.

The only records for receiving at Boise State that Jeremy Childs may NOT break is the record for most receiving yards in one game and the longest reception record. That record is held by Winky White (1990 vs. Nevada) when White had 264 receiving yards. Jeremy Childs biggest receiving yards in a game so far was 143 yards this season La Tech. The longest reception record at Boise State is 97 yards by Lou Fanucchi in 2002 vs. La Tech. Jeremy Childs' longest reception to date was an 83 yard reception against La Tech this season.

RE: Jeremy Childs is rewriting the BSU record book
Good research. Although, I believe Lawrence Bady had a 98 yard reception (I think it was at SMU, but it may have been UTEP)... a catch that didn't even go for a TD as he got tripped up at the one. Lou's is the longest TD reception, though.
