i assume that some ppl on this board are already in the know... an incident that will damage the repution of the football team happenned a few weeks ago. i am not at liberty to give details, but the whole thing will be in the press soon enough...

News to me...

I'm not one of the one's who knows what is going on with this, nor am I asking for the details. I just find it appalling that more and more incidents like this are happening at all levels of sports. Whether you're talking pro, college, or even high school levels, it really seems that athletes are feeling even more entitled than ever. I wish these athletes would realize how lucky they are to be athletically gifted and realize the impact the decisions they make have not only on them, but on those who follow and look up to them.

Oh no. i dont like the sounds of that. I hope its not like a UT gambling situation. Unfortunately once some bad press comes it will be free reign as its a public institution and all records are free reign so the media can dig for whatever story they want to create.

doesn't involve gambling... fisticuffs, many involved.. off-campus party.. & that is my last word on this subject..

Good thing the early 70's teams didn't live in this era. They were a wild and rough bunch.

but.......... since the ppl that visit this board are the hardcore fans.. i thought i would give them a heads-up on this. when the story breaks.. you can say that you heard about it here 1st.. where the knowledgeable fans hang-out & chat :)

Yeah, but there was NO better bouncer for the Beale Hall beer keg parties than Jack Lambert. No one off our floor got in. No one else got any beer, either.

So this is like a cheap Geraldo Rivera episode and who can run with it 1st?

Great news....(sarcasm). Has there every been a football program that needed a bullet of mercy more than Kent State? I can see how you remain a fan and supporter if you're a former player or a parent of a current Flash, but after 20 years, I'm just about done with this team. It's been an abject disaster since 1977: bad hire after bad hire....and now more bad news.

Doug Martin is a fine man, but let's face it. He's not working any wonders at KSU. Fire him and try ONE more time. If a new coach can't resurrect this team, it's time to save KSU and the state of Ohio a lot of money: drop the program.

College athletes will make mistakes. The real mistake here would be if this is already known and nothing is being done until after the season so they can keep playing. I would trust our coaching staff to act swiftly and appropriately and remove from the active roster anyone embarrassing the school and program.
