You must have a Ph.D. in quantum physics to deduce that Mick is struggling. We can't shoot and we don't play defense. Other than those two things, the UC team is all set for a final 4 run.

What about those recruits when UC entered the BE? What happen to them all. Downey was a nice player, but he left and its been down hill since.

When the Bobcats accomplish anything in any sport then come back and rub it in. Right now the only thing OU is good for is a place to have the regional high school basketball tournaments.

that aside, we suck in basketball and as I said last night in the UC thread...2-14 (last years BE record) is looking good right about now.

MAAAAAN have we fallen on hard times or what.....the teams we've lost to this year used to be teams we'd beat with our bench in most of the second half 95-50.......OUCH.

This is essentially our first year of rebuilding, last year's goal was just to get a team on the floor.

When was the last time you were good? The Gary Trent years? I remember when that guy was a crack dealer on the south side of Columbus.

OUBOBCATJOHN in my opinion is often making subtle or not so subtle suggestions that UC is inferior to OU and that UC does not belong in the Big East conference.

That's my opinion. I may be wrong. I have been before.

Because of the move to the BE, a great one albeit, UC BB may never be the same. But you have accomplished something even bigger - you got one hell of a chance to build something awesome in FB. Sit back and enjoy the ride. College FB is where its at baby. Just wish my alma mater's admin saw it the same way.

I actually think you nailed it spot on. While Bobcat does comment in other threads about expansion and college sports in general, anytime it is a thread about UC he seems to always throw in underhanded jabs, often disguised as trying to start a discussion of "why UC sucks".

Not worth troubling ourselves over, but the guy clearly is not neutral on UC.

And my saying that in no way means I disagree with him on his current topic...UC basketball looks horrible. I've got the Bearcats penciled in for last place right now.

Yeah he tried to say Miami Oh should have been picked over UC for the Big East and UC football sucks etc...We are ranked most of the year and he is gone ...we lose two B-ball games and he is back?? Why he would care so much about UC is beyond me.

Only reason he's obsessed with UC is because UC won't play OU in football (unless 2-1 or something).

I guess UC fans could post on the MAC board about how MAC football stinks and UC has perhaps the best football team in the state of Ohio this year (and clearly better than any MAC team).

But we won't do that.

First of all Ohio fans need to worry about their program because it sucks. Second, how do you know if Bowling Green is the worst team in the MAC? It'll be a moot point if UC beats Miami though.

I disagree that UC BB will never been the same. UC basketball will be fine if people will just be patient and let the program rebuild. UC will be fine. As for Ohio, you suck in basketball AND football. And, no, UC will never play you in football. And congrats on FINALLY beating UC in basketball. That's about it for Ohio athletics.

Whats interesting is that it took an extreme down period for them to actually beat Cincy. Get your licks in now, because I beleive that Cincy will be a monster again. Whether Cronin is the guy or not, the Cincy name has enough prestige to bounce back quickly.
