With a 3-0 sweep over Nevada, Utah St grabbed the #2 seed. Those two teams could be facing each other in the semifinals, with Hawai'i and NMSU likely meeting in the other semifinal match.
A reminder for anyone attending the VB tourney final: The Fresno St/Nevada football game has been changed to 4pm, so allow some extra time for parking. Also, the Nevada/UNLV basketball game (7pm) will be shown on a big screen at Lawlor.

Interesting that the bracket is set to have the #3 seed face the #1 seed and #4 face #2 in the semis (assuming of course the higher seeds win opening round).
Usually #4 faces #1 and #2 and #3 play in the semis. Given the dominance of Hawaii - a defininte bonus for #4 seed Nevada (not to mention the home court).

Yeah, I kind of wondered about those matchups, too.
As for home-court advantage...FWIW, last year Nevada took Hawaii to 5 games twice in the regular season, but struggled to win a single game against the Wahine in the tourney. Also, the tourney will be in Lawlor Event Center this year, rather than Nevada's normal home court (Virginia St gym). In any case, the way they're struggling lately, it would be a big surprise for Nevada to win it.

Looks like it was a typo. The WAC website looks like they fixed it to 4 vs. 1 and 2 vs. 3, like it was supposed to.
Considering that NMSU is the team that gave Hawaii the most trouble this season, I'm not ecstatic about facing them in the semis.

Good call...I edited the first post to (hopefully) avoid confusion.
