RE: 2008 Commit List
Thanks for the info KB..Good to know. I believe we have two scholies left, correct? It'd be awesome if we could land two guards (hopefully two star or higher) with these scholies..

Are we for sure that they have signed? There haven't been any announcements on the athletic website and ESPN and Rivals both have them listed as being only verbally committed. I was just wanting to make sure because I would just feel better knowing they were offically signed with the way this season is going.

RE: 2008 Commit List
Officially signed. Heard it from a good source inside the athletic department. My guess is that they will announce it along with the entire class in April, but from what I heard the paperwork is already in.

RE: 2008 Commit List
Thanks KB, I just wanted to be certain. If we are able to keep signing solid players like these two, we should be able to get back on track.

RE: 2008 Commit List
I am sure the coaches have a backup plan similar so if anything like what happens with Andre Morgan happens again.

RE: 2008 Commit List
Who is on scholarship right now? I think if you look at that list the decisions become clearer to what would happen if a big time recruit wanted to play at KSU.

RE: 2008 Commit List
I am not sure about current scholarships, but from what I know we are losing (graduating) the following scholarships:

1. Ronell Wooten
2. Shuan Stegall
3. Zach Berry

We have filled two of those scholarships up to this point.

RE: 2008 Commit List
that is confirmed...dixon has committed (obviously not signed yet). PG from the area. I have seen him play several times (none this past year though). He is an excellent scoring guard...can play the 1 or the 2 from what I have seen.

RE: 2008 Commit List
Hopefully he's a great addition. If he pans out it may be safe to say that this our top recruiting class since turning D1. All three kids have four years to spend in our program and hopefully can help us turn this thing around. I would say all three will get a great deal of PT next year. Wouldn't suprise me if two of these guys end up starting.

RE: 2008 Commit List
There is no question that this is our best recruiting class since turning Division I. Green was a high major prospect for a while, Cummings would make a solid mid-major add for any school, and Dixon is a solid low-major addition that is seriously on the rise. Either way, we are looking at 3 excellent additions for our program. Coach Ingle seems like he is hesitant to make a move sometimes as far as commitments, so the fact that they have offered Dixon this early is a great sign for what the coaching staff feels about the kid. Now we just need to make sure that all three graduate, and make it to Kennesaw next August.

RE: 2008 Commit List
Agreed. All three will be needed next year. Does anyone know if there are any grade issues with any of the three?

RE: 2008 Commit List
Well, Cummings and Green are both in prep school so I imagine that they had some sort of problem qualifying out of high school. Often though that has a lot more to do with the high school that the kid is coming out of rather than just the kid not doing his work. Never count your chickens before they hatch, and never say never about a kid until he makes it to that first practice next fall :)
