What a bonehead move. In these rivalry games, emotions are flowing high and players who can control those emotions generally end up on top 02-13-banana. He's going to regret that mistake and acted like a typcial bronco...DIRTY!

Immaturity plain and simple. Loosing your cool in the heat of the moment has happened to all of us. His just happened to be early in a rivalry game on national TV. I hope the kid really learns a lesson because he is a talented player. Damn Bronco

Not what you would expect from someone on a team
Bentley claimed was coached by a guy

All the WMU fans are tryin to say that Simmons ejection was unfair... The rules clearly state it was the correct call... notice the CAPS.


SECTION 1. Contact and Interference Fouls

Flagrant Fouls

ARTICLE 1. Before the game, during the game and between periods, all

flagrant fouls require disqualification. Team B disqualification personal

fouls require first downs if not in conflict with other rules.

Persons Subject to the Rules Restrictions

ARTICLE 2. No person subject to the rules shall commit a personal foul

before the game, during the game or between the periods. Any act prohibited

hereunder or any other act of unnecessary roughness is a personal foul.

a. No person subject to the rules shall strike an opponent with the knee;

strike an opponent’s helmet (including the face mask), neck, face or

any other part of the body with an extended forearm, elbow, locked

hands, palm, fist, or the heel, back or side of the open hand; or gouge an

opponent (A.R. 9-1-2-I and II).

NO PERSON SUBJECT TO THE RULES SHALL STRIKE AN OPPONENT WITH HIS FOOT OR ANY PART OF HIS LEG THAT IS BELOW THE KNEE.

PENALTY—15 yards from the basic spot or the succeeding spot, first

down for Team B fouls if the first down is not in conflict

with other rules, and DISQUALIFICATION for the remainder of

the game [S7, S27 or S38, and S47].
