Just wondering what some of the costs would be for starting a football team. Obviously we'd start at 1aa with hopes to be 1a in the future..so i was wondering if anyone knew what the costs would be..like scholarshps, equipment cost, travel and yearly operating costs. The reason i'm asking is i have a project and those are the facts i couldnt find right away. hoping some of you have some insight or just know the stuff for some reason.

I don't have any figures to go on. What I get comes from the Athletic Department and I'm going to get paid if I'm dealing with their finances. :)

Actually scholarships will be listed as a cost (I believe that is an NCAA reporting requirement) but there is little actual marginal cost to a scholarship.

Just to give you an idea, Georgia State's Feasibilty Study said our start-up costs would range from 6 to 24 million. So for the time being, the unofficial goal set amognst the fundraisers is at least 8 million.

6-24 million. That made me laugh. Just pick somewhere in there... lol. I really want to be the company doing these feasability studies. How easy would it have to be to guess it costs in that neighborhood?
