Cram the Convo is for the community and not the students. If students already get their tickets for free and still don't show up, why do you think it would be any different during this game.

Cram the Convo is because of the $1 ticket prices. We have to do something to get people into the Convo when all our students are at home on winter break. $1 tickets have no effect on students who get free tickets.

well why dont they have a cram night when students are around and not on break? There would be more people there. I'm no marketing major but it makes sense to me.

Plus a disappointing thing with the Depaul convo opening game in 2002, NIU went without a FG, from the 10 minute mark in the 1st half to the end of the first half. It was so frustrating to watch, especially so given it occurred a few hours after Toledo came back to crush the Huskies division hopes in Huskie stadium that afternoon. That has to be the worst day in NIU athletics of all time.

I know it is for the community, but if they do it while the students are there, there will be more people. There are a lot more students at the game than sit in the Red Riot.

I agree, we should have a student night. But students should be coming regardless. I think the basketball team should go out to the fraternities, sororities, and other student organizations and try to bring them out. That's a whole lot of students right there. Those of us in the dorms need to be the go getters as far as getting those students to the games. Any of you living in the dorms and even those of you who don't need to go around hyping up our team. Tell them about the past two games we won. Tell them about Mike Hart who is a beast down low. Tell them about star NIU player Cody Yelder and how he broke Dwayne Wade's scoring record in high school. Word of mouth can go a long way.

Haha no just a stagehand. Why do you sit at the ends of the court? Would you pick your tickets along the sideline somewhere?

Oh ok that makes sense. Yea, its a great job. I got paid $50 to watch the basketball game and have an intelligent conversation about it with my coworker.

1) Dec. 29 vs. Arkansas-Little Rock is $1 tickets "Cram the Convo"

2) There was another game sponsored by Resource Bank that was free ticket night in the upper bowl seats. Can't remember what game, maybe Lamar???

3) Women's game Dec. 17 vs DePaul is $1 "Cram the Convo".

I really liked what they did tonight, they had little tags on all the available season ticket seats left. So I got to pick my season ticket location and then get them printed, picked them up by halftime, and got to sit in that new seat for the game. Great idea, I didnt need to get there at 6 though!

Congrats on the season tickets, MD! :ncaabbs: If you ever tire of your seat, you can always come and sit with me. Rest assured that I will make your evening "interesting". And, the game will be the furthest thing from your mind. 04-jawdrop

However, it would have the effect of "cramming the convo" which is (and should be) the goal. I agree with Bleeds- they should have Cram the COnvo when students are present in addition to the dates when they are on break.
