Where to eat in Manhattan?
Just got my season tickets for KSU mens BBall--I'll probably make at least 2-3 trips out to see games and sell the rest of the tix on ebay. My question:

Where are the best places to eat in Manhattan?

Thanks! ;-)

Are you looking for good bar food or the Applebees/Old Chicago types? There are some good BBQ joints, good Jamacian, ect...

If I were to take a poll of Manhattanites, what eatery would be considered "best restaurant in the city"? (regardless of cuisine)..

P.S. I love BBQ and steak!

Thanks!

Don--it was a no-brainer for me--last time I sprung for season tix for Huggy it was close to 3grand for the pair. For KSU this year--a whopping $550.00 for a pair of tickets to a program that will sell out their arena AND have one of the best incoming classes in the country (since it looks like Walker is a "go").

The marquee games are K-State vs. Kansas and Texas Tech (Bobby Knight) vs. K-State (Bobby Huggins)--should be some tempers flaring in that game (which is coast to coast on ESPN2). So figure you sell some of those seats for greater than face, the less exciting games for face, and you get to go to the remainder of the games free! (more or less)... ;-)

Sounds like you made a good investment. Thanks for the info. I will get to watch a few KS games on TV at least. I'm not going to rub it in on the Huggins bashers if KS does at least halfway decent this year. Well then again maybe. ;-) Don

HA Don, of course you will. BTW, with a dish you should be able to watch virtually every KSU game, since they are all on wither ESPN, ESPN+ or FSN. You should be able to pickup FSN on a dish.

Sounds good! I have Dish network and can get FSN but have to add it on. My girlfriend has Direct TV and already has the FSN package so unless I change girlfriends will watch it at her place. Wonder what KS fans are going to think the first time Bobby gets upset on the sidelines? Ought to be fun! Don

The best place is "EATS", and the next best is "MOM'S"

Re: Where to eat in Manhattan?
In my opinion one of the best steaks in Manhattan is at Ramblers on the east edge of town on highway 24. Nice little bar and steakhouse and the foot is always good. Also I am a big fan of Texas Star in Aggieville. These are a couple of my favorites, but there are lots of other options for you to consider.

I live an hour outside of Manhattan and I got my season tickets the day after Huggs was hired. I cannot wait. Enjoy Manhattan and Go State.

I am out here in Cali. This ESPN+ channel, will it guarantee that we can see every KSU game?

I have DirecTV btw.

Thanks in advance!

Youd have to also pickup the FSN sports package as well which you can get on direct TV. This would huarentee you virtually every game.
