Expansion of Rutgers Stadium clears hurdle
Quote:McCormick said there is a concensus to push for a $100 million project that will add as many as 13,000 seats and 20 luxury suites to the stadium in Piscataway. Rutgers Stadium now holds 41,500.

Between this and the possibility of a new downtown arena to replace the RAC this should be an exciting time for rutgers athletics in terms of facilities upgrades.

Please do get rid of the RAC. That is my least favorite Big East venue to play in. No idea why it is so hard to win there.

There wil be no new arena in New Brunswick. That idea is a fantasy without money.Rutgers is devoting all its efforts to enlarging its football stadium.

It's Jersey!

You know how many hands are in the kitty of large state construction projects?

Actually if you've been reading the papers it sounds like the city and county were planning on building an arena and inviting RU Basketball as its primary tenants.

That's awesome....

Hope BK and Cincy can keep it rolling, I'd love for UC to sell out Nippert next couple years and expand. I've seen blueprints for Nippert Expansion to around 50,000 as well...

UCONN stadium is designed to go to 55K easily. Perhaps after this season, we will increase our season ticket base and get a waiting list. Do that for couple of years and it is time to expand.

It would be nice to see Cincinnati and Connecticut expand to around 50,000+!
