Just a few factoids regarding Boise State that others might wish to pay some attention to:
1. Boise State's football team has won 24 of their last 25 football games. The one loss was a two point loss on the road at Oregon State, in a game that (in hindsight) they "should" have won.
2. Boise State has won 18 straight games in the Western Athletic Conference. During those 18 Conference games Boise State scored 960 points and gave up only 282 points, i.e., an average margin of victory of 53-15.
3. Boise State currently has the longest home winning streak in the nation at 18 straight home victories. And they have won 32 of thier last 33 home games.
4. Boise State will enter this season with the nation's second longest winning streak at 11 games. Only Miami of Ohio has a longer winning streak at 13 games.
5. Last fall Boise State led the entire nation in scoring for the third time in the last four years. Boise State scored 602 points last fall and averaged 43 points per game. In 2000 Boise State scored an average of 44.9 points per game (and led the nation) and in 2002 Boise State scored an average of 45.6 points per game (and led the nation).
6. Boise State is 9-0 on E.S.P.N. and E.S.P.N. II, and 7-0 against teams from the Mtn. West Conference.
7. Four of the top five tacklers for Boise State last season return next fall (# 1 Andy Avalos, # 3 Korey Hall, # 4 Chris Carr, and # 5 Gabe Franklin).
Just a little food for thought.
