AP poll 10/28
WVU falls a slot in this poll too. That's what a soft schedule will do for you:

1. Ohio State (59) 9-0 1,615
2. Boston College (1) 8-0 1,501
3. LSU (3) 7-1 1,478
4. Oregon 7-1 1,417
5. Oklahoma 7-1 1,365
6. Arizona State (2) 8-0 1,310
7. West Virginia 7-1 1,286
8. Kansas 8-0 1,164
9. Missouri 7-1 1,121
10. Georgia 6-2 949
11. Virginia Tech 6-2 823
12. Hawaii 8-0 776
13. USC 6-2 742
14. Texas 7-2 728
15. Michigan 7-2 726
16. Connecticut 7-1 555
17. Alabama 6-2 547
18. Florida 5-3 532
19. Auburn 6-3 530
20. South Florida 6-2 392
21. Wake Forest 6-2 259
21. Boise State 7-1 259
23. South Carolina 6-3 196
24. Tennessee 5-3 165
25. Clemson 6-2 146

IF WVU played a soft schedule what would you call the garbage that Ohio State, Arizona State and Oklahoma has played.

Once an idiot always an idiot. At least you was gone for about 2 weeks after USF kicked your teeth in.

WV schedule isnt any weaker than most of those schools.. that had nothing to do with them dropping a spot.. to be honest.. I dont see why they should have dropped.

RE: AP poll 10/28
In this case I can't figure out for the life of me why WVU dropped. They beat a good team in Rutgers, and their defense looked very good. I could understand if they won the game in a shootout, but they held Rutgers out of the endzone and didn't give up any points in the 2nd half. This just doesn 't make sense to me... in past weeks I agreed with how the polls moved, this week makes no sense to me.

Soft schedule? You want to go look at the schedules of the teams in front of WVU in the polls. If you come back and say they have a better opponent win/loss record, you're a liar. Three teams in the top seven have a winning opponent record, WVU, LSU and Oregon. Make up another excuse idiot!

RE: AP poll 10/28
WVU got screwed as well as other BE teams. We are underrated while the SEC is WAY WAY WAY overrated. UGA lost to Vandy and Kentucky lost to MSU, a team WVU literally ran over up and down the field.

At least AP poll is less bias than the Coaches' poll. Playoff can't get here fast enough. These human polls are full of conference bias it is sickening.

To me best teams in the country are WVU, Oregon and LSU. Other teams need to be ranked lower. Oklahoma has no business being ahead of WVU.

It's because of their schedule. Their OOC schedule is extremely weak, and the only thing they have left are Big East games.

They haven't proven themselves against quality opposition.

Look Troll you can say the same for Ohio State, Boston College, Arizona State and Oklahoma.

WVU schedule is no different then just about anyone else in the Top 25.

Have you even looked at the OOC conference schedules of the teams ahead of WVU?

As others have said, Ohio State, Arizona State, Oklahoma, and really even BC haven't played anybody.

Yesterday's WVU win was probably the 2nd most impressive of the day (behind Ohio State's win at Penn State), there is no way they should have dropped.

RE: AP poll 10/28
West Virginia dropping has nothing to do with their schedule. It is about the pollsters trying to position the winner of Oregon vs. Arizona State to make a run at the top spot. The loser of that game will drop, obviously, and West Virginia will get the spot back. No big deal.

The real scandal is LSU and Oklahoma getting free passes to stay ranked as highly as they are based on their names and their alleged stockpiles of talent. I do not care how much talent you have if you do not win the games you need to win. We will see what happens.

UCF fans should never talk trash to USF fans after the beating they took at Tampa. Seriously, they should just be quiet cause the difference between USF and UCF right now is night and day.

RE: AP poll 10/28
It is not UCF "fans" doing this but one debatable "fan" who may just be on his way to being "banned" if he does not heed his one and only warning from Gruehls.

Now, to get this thread back on topic, I looked at all three polls side-by-side and noticed a bit of bias, all in favor of the ACC and SEC of course, in the AP Poll.

Wisconsin is ranked 19th in the Coaches Poll and 21st in the Harris Poll but is unranked in the AP Poll. The Badgers are the third Big Ten team to make the ranks.

Clemson is ranked 24th in the Coaches Poll but is unranked in the Harris Poll while Wake Forest is unranked in the Coaches Poll but is ranked 25th in the Harris Poll.

They are both ranked in the AP Poll while Wisconsin, as mentioned, is unranked there. So one of the ACC teams somehow stole Wisconsin's ranking in the AP Poll.

Another difference is that Kentucky is ranked in the Coaches Poll (23rd) and Harris Poll (24th) but Tennessee is ranked in the AP Poll (24th) while Kentucky is not.
