I think the black uniforms were a smart choice considering the weather, they still look sharp even after all the rain and sloppy turf. A lot of WV players uniforms appear to be turning pink.

Is it me or does the all black RU uniforms make them seem SLOW?

Thought they looked much quicker in their other uniforms vs USF...which probably has a team with even more overall speed than WVU, especially on D.

WVU looks "fast" in their white today.

Since it was the first time that Rutgers wore those uniforms and they lost 31-3 then maybe it should be the last time they wear those uniforms.

Black in the NE at this time of the year is not a bad idea though if you are thinking solar warmth. Wear your traditional colors. Changing colors does not give you a win. You still have to play the game. I wonder how much Rutgers made from the the uniform supplier that proposed those uniforms.

Talk about stupid looking. I knew instantly with those on we were going to lose big. I genuinely hope that they put those unis in the trash and never wear them again. The rain was also the deathknell for us we pass too much for the rain not to screw us up royally. WVU is great for the rain with the amount of running you guys do. I think that was the first time Ray had a very good game that we lost. Simply put Rich Rod owns Schiano.

The Scarlet Knights should wear Scarlet - those black unis looked like crap.

I didn't care for the Rutgers black unis myself either. I was very scepticle when The Ville talked about them, but somehow they pulled them off and it worked out. Cincy looks good in black though.

How many teams do you need to wear black?

First question, did the players know about it before hand? I mean if they go into the Locker rooms and find those uniforms hanging there, they will want to kick ass.

See I have always seen the Alternate uni's as a chance against a rival, who is good, to inspire the team, but Black is not a daytime game color and it made WVU up their attack on Rutgers.

At least their not as ugly as the ND student section shirts

The black Rutgers uniforms were not pretty, especially considering the horror show that unfolded before us on the field, but at least they looked better than those ghastly green jerseys that Notre Dame broke out just in time to get their butts whipped by USC a week, or so, ago.

Hmm I'll give you the fact those student section shirts are pretty awful. Chances are they knew about it in advance or at least had a suspicion as they've had a black version of the uni available for use since last year. If it were a night game the black uni would have been a lot cooler I'm sure.

They were for honoring the '78 NT team, not to draw any emotion out, and yes they ugly, the pants blinded some young children

I think the black Louisville uniforms would look much better if they used a black helmet instead of the standard white. Just doesn't look right.
