LA Times rips eastern bias BCS computers
Chris Dufrense takes exception today to the damn BSC computers used in picking which teams will play in the bigger payout BCS bowl games. i.e. "Kansas is 7-0 and No. 7 in the BCS computers after beating the likes of Central Michigan, Southeast Louisiana, Toledo and Florida International."

He also compares one week's rankings of Hawaii with Boston College. It's a good read, but you must register to read the L.A. Times. (Don't worry, they don't spam you.)

RE: LA Times rips eastern bias BCS computers
"* Hawaii dropped five spots in the Associated Press poll one week after a road win and Boston College moved up five notches to No. 7 after a 10-point home win against I-AA Massachusetts."

I remember last year, Hawaii beat its D1-aa opponent and lost 8 spots on the Sagarin ratings. That same week, BYU has a bye...and "gains" 8 spots to pass Hawaii.

According to Jeff, you get more credit for sitting at home playing "TV romote", than you do by playing a D1-aa opponent.

BYU must have played one bad-azz remote. Right jeff?
