Very Nice.

The more fans the merrier when you come to Morgantown.

I am not delusional and think UCONN can beat WVU on paper. However, this is why you play the games. WVU is still the best team in the BE. However, it is nice to be on top of the BE even it is only for a few weeks.

You got to give Randy Edsall who has built this program. We have depth and talent across the board and next year's team should be even better since we only got 4 SRs in starting 22.

I just hope UConn fans come down to the game. Top conferences travel. I would think WVU would be a favorite but you never know how it will end up. Look at USF last year. It's a great place to watch a game. Sure, some fans are jerks (drunk?) but most are just love watching their team.

Agreed. I think UCONN fans are slowly getting the football tradition thing. Last night was horrible weather and most fans stayed until the end to cheer on the team. Oh yeah, it was a sellout even though many people were hiding inside to avoid the rain. If we get to a bowl, I am sure sure plenty of UCONN fans will travel. I am hoping we get at least the Tire Bowl this year.

BTW, among UCONN fans, WVU is probably by far their 2nd favorite BE team. We never gonna forget what WVU did for the BE in 2005 against UGA in the Sugar Bowl.

That was in 2005, just to be completely accurate, and I think everyone would LOVE to forget what Pitt did TO the Big East in 2004 against Utah in the Fiesta Bowl.

Krocker - I hate to say it but any BE team could have taken that beat down against Utah that year. Utah had a chip on their shoulder and nobody in the BE could have been counted on to do any better.

What should irritate BE fans is that the media used that one year to trash the BE. They forgot about WVU 88/93, forgot about Syracuse 97/98, forgot about Pitt's history and belittled the potential of the Rutgers, Connecticut and the new members of the BE.

West Virginia, if Chris Henry and Pac-Man Jones had kept their heads on straight, would have at least put up a much better fight than that paltry effort we saw from Pitt. The Mountaineers were really the Big East's best overall team that year but dropped a couple of critical games down the stretch thanks to, in no small part, the thoughtless antics of those two selfish characters.

I think Louisville, if they were in the BE then, could have beat Utah that year.

The best BIG EAST team that year was still in C-USA. That 2004 Louisville team ended up having 14 NFL Draft Picks. Those players include Amobi Okoye, Michael Bush, Kolby Smith along with current Cardinals Harry Douglas and Brian Brohm who both played a lot of minutes that year.

We would have smoked Utah that year, we had a bigger chip on our shoulder.

Agreed. I think UL would have been a much more entertaining game against UTAH that year. Didn't UL ended up playing Boise? It was a great game too but UL vs. UTAH would have been better.

FYI, UCONN beat PITT that year when they went to the BCS bowl. PITT was not the best team that year in the BE. If I had to pick one, it was WVU.

I think Chris Henry was suspended from the team at that point. I could be wrong. If WVU didn't have the off field problems that year they were the best in the BE, in my opinion. They were up an down all year and who knows how they would have played against Utah.

Louisville of course wasn't in BE that year. Maybe they should have been.

Even though Pitt got a beatdown from Utah in the Fiesta Bowl that year, I was glad it was Pitt there representing the Big East rather than 03-puke BCU, who if you recall blew the BE title that year by getting waxed at home by Syracuse in the season finale. 03-lmfao
