That is one call refs cannot miss. What is the defense supposed to do? Plow into a guy in case the ref misses it? I can understand the player forgetting under pressure that he asked for the fair catch.

Yeah that was a total ref screw up. He did not hear the whistle so he took off. Players got to learn to not stop playing until the whistle is blown. Anyway, UCONN got a break. However, UL just got a break when a fumble was not called a fumble.

Also on that 4th and 1 when UCONN got called facemask which gave UL a 1st down and a TD. Ref should have called the blatant hold right before the sack and face mask.

another key bad call, it's a shame this game is being decided by the refs, it's been a hard fought game so far.

This is completely BS. They took a TD away from UCONN for that and now UL is driving.

Blown calls tonight so far per UCONN site:

Against UConn
1. Horrible spot on UConn drive deep into UL territory. 4th down kills drive.
2. On Davis's facemask, lack of holding call.
3. 3 holding calls on UConn running plays up the middle. Normally they are let go.
4. Allen's fumble.
5. UL STer hits the pylon as he tries to down the ball, ref spots it there.
6. Fumble recovery at the Louisville 1 gets overruled by idiot ref.

Against UL
1. punt return

Did you read my posts above? That was not the only screw up. If they called a touch back, it should have been a TD for UCONN or at minimal at UL 1 yard line. UCONN got bunch of bad calls while UL got the TD punt return against them so far.
