So UTEP leaving is not a done deal!

No one really knows what is going on till after April 30th.

Nobody Knows and it may take longer to find out too! Could be mid to late May. Doesn't allow the WAC much time to react.

Someone from the media stopped Dickson (Tulane AD) in S'Port, and ask him if he was in favor of LA Tech comming. Instead of him saying he had no comment on the subject which is what he should have done. He opened up a whole new can of worms and said "Yes".

Because Dickson is in favor of Tech coming does that mean they are, or that he even supports them in the voting on the 30th. No. Just means that C-USA isn't sitting at 11.

Yes, I don't think CUSA will stay at 11 either. And I don't think UNT is on their radar. Flip a Coin, UTEP or LaTech!

Either way it goes the WAC needs to have a plan in place and aggressively pursue that plan as soon as it's known which team C-USA takes. My main concern is that the WAC seems to specilize in reacting instead of being more aggressive. How about contacting San Diego St. and offering a financial package as well as waiving any entry type fees. Perhaps even guaranteed bowl bids with a winning record regardless of where they would stand in the WAC standings?

Would it be worth it to bring in a SDSU, or Houston, or UNLV, UNM, etc. (pick your favorite here)?

None of those are feasible. The WACs best choices are UNT, ARK State and ULL. And it's going to be up to LA Tech basiclly if they want all 3. The MAC is looking at taking Western KY., if they do that Middle Tenn. would be lodgic choice to go to the MAC. Since Western doesn't play I-A football look for Temple to get an Invite for a football only to the MAC. This may leave poor Troy State in the cold, because if this domiono effect falls like this the football side of the SunBelt will die.
