Bah...there goes our conference respect.

03-banghead Because teams jobbing to other teams really helps the conference.

Rutgers won, USF lost. And with the way this season is going, anything can and most likely will happen.

Exactly. And what is with this "conference respect" garbage? The Big East is already respected as a BCS conference, as our BCS bid, new television package and numerous Top 25 teams show. As long as Cincinnati wins at Pittsburgh the Big East will have 4 Top 25 teams. I think that shows that this conference has plenty of respect.

I thiink that is because Grothe isn't as tall as other QBs like Brian Bhrom ,Tim Tebow,or Mike Teel, he can't see over the offensive line and see the rush until its in his face

This sucks. The only way there's going to be real change in college football is if a "great unwashed" team plays in the MNC game. There's no way Judas is going unbeaten and even if they did, they wouldn't create the outrage and upheavel of a USF making it.

It's going to be some 1-loss SEC stomping tOSU again. The season's over, AFAIC.

tough loss for us but a great game between 2 good teams and 2 intense coaches. really impressed with schiano's defensive adjustments and ballsy calls. the media can say what they want but both teams played hard and one had to lose. rutgers was playing for their season and usf made too many mistakes. at least we'll have 4 be teams in the top 25 at least for one week. crazy season, good job rutgers.

LOT of football to go...

here's a dirty little secret...O$U isn't that good. The weak big televen is hiding this but I don't see them going undefeated...even in THAT conference. THey simply are not that good.

USF had about 100 yards against in penalties. They also could not stop Ray Rice. As a USF fan, that is terrible game. I wont want to talk about this game for a long time.

It was a good game though and exciting on national tv.....

USF, I know your down right now, but a lot of football to go and I see other Top 10 teams losing over the next month...

Yep. I think it will be tough for them to get past Penn State and Michigan on the road.

Too much football and too much parity right now to say who's going to be in the national title game....L$U has a TOUGH schedule to go, O$U is overrated and should lose a game, etc.

sloppy game on our part for sure and we had our chances, but i tip my hat off to schiano who got his team to play and ray rice who looked like the heisman canidate he was supposed to be. rutgers decision to blitz grothe worked to perfection. usf needs to work on some things (i.e. grothe feel free to throw the ball away once in a while you're not barry sanders and especially don't take a sack with the game on the line) but i feel good about the rest of the schedule. even if we take a huge drop we'll get back up there in no time.

I'm curious as to how you've determined tOSU isn't that good. They've curbstomped everyone they've played. It's because the Big 11 sucks so much this year that's they're going to go undefeated...and then get taken behind the woodshed by whatever SEC team the good ol' boys vote into the MNC game.

OSU will not go undefeated. Personally, I think WVU still has a shot if things keep falling down the way they do week in and week out. Lots of FB to go.

OSU does have this left on their plate:

Michigan State (close to being 7-0, but are 5-2 - loss to NW floors me)
at Penn State
Wisconsin
Illinois
at Michigan

They have yet to play a team better than any of these - I don't think they run the table; just my opinion.

The National Championship talk is just as wild as the Big East title talk. Scenarios will change every week in both.

Honestly I think we have the worst kick/punt returning unit in the league this year if not one of the worst in the country. It seems like they kill us every game with muffed punts last night was no different.

um...their strength of schedule is #72 in the nation...I would hope they "curbstomped" the teams they've played.....it's not their fault, they are playing the games and winning easily, on their schedule, but truth, their schedule sucks and the big televen portion of it isn't going to help it much....they should not be #1
