Wow, what a game. Questionable referee calls, but they basically cancelled each other out. This was a lot of fun and I actually found myself rooting for UConn (never thought I'd say that as a 'Cuse fan, but I guess since they're an original BE member like us...I am partial).

Great game Huskies!

That missed fair catch signal was one of the worst missed calls I've ever seen. Personally I think the referee who missed that should be suspended.

I agree. Big East officials are terrible.

Great game Huskies!

As soon as that punt returner started moving the L'ville cover team shout have smeared him. Instead of playing football and smacking the guy when he took off they stood there and cried foul to ref. There is no killer instinct on the L'ville defensive side this year05-mafia. If there was they would be undefeated right now. 07-coffee3

By the time he had taken off the UL special teams had stopped running... I don't blame that on their defense at all, as if they are too agressive on those plays they get 15 yard penalties.

Thanks for the congrats, folks! 04-cheers It was a great win for the UConn program (I'd even call it a signature win) and a great atmosphere last night even with all the rain, but a fun game to be at. Too bad about the bad calls by the BE refs, but it's become the norm in this conference.

USF/UConn next week should be a battle! 04-rock

Thanks for the congrats. As much as people like to think that punt return made the difference, it simply was not true.

UL had 17-7 lead into the 4th quarter and they did not stop UCONN. Also, they took a TD away from UCONN on that missed fumble punt return. It evened out in the end.

The better team won. Refs did not stop Brian Brohm and made him throw INTs, UCONN did.

With help from our inept coaching staff.

RE: Nice win UConn.
UConn's D looked good. I wonder how well they'll stand up to Rutgers, Cincinnati, and West Virginia.

Louisville fans might be upset, but the way The BEast is turning out this year may be the best thing that could have happened to the conference. It's not just a few strong teams and a bunch of also rans. Outside of Pitt and Syracuse, any team in The BEast can play with anyone.

UofL has lost all confidence right now, and is becoming a sinking ship. But they have the talent to salvage some respect for this season. The question seems to be whether the coaching staff can make proper use of that talent.

I think we match up well against RU, USF and Cincy. WVU might give us some trouble but our LBs are playing great. We did fine against UVA and should have won that game if we didn't have couple of bad snaps on the final drive. D gave UVA some serious headache as it did against UL. Harry Douglas was something like 4 for 19 if that's any indication on throw to and catches.

Our 2 star CT native freshman LB Scott Lutrus had 18 tackles and an INT against UL last night, how about that? Those Rivals ratings mean squat when it comes to actually playing football.
