This looks more like it should be with USF ahead of BC but with a lotta mo football to be played.
Thanks.

FYI, the link to that LSU website also corrected the AP Poll and listed the new Coaches Poll as well.

no reason to pay any attention to the AP... it doesnt count towards the BCS so it really doesnt matter...

Wrong. The AP gives out their own national championship, which is equal to the BCS national title. So if USF can finish first in the AP poll they would win a national championship.

I actually feel the AP has more credibility than the Coach's poll. And if you get the AP National Title its a legit, accepted national title.

A plit championship would put us closer to a true playoff and National Championship, which is solely needed!

I agree, me and my father were talking about that. We always consider the AP poll the more legitimate poll.
And I agree Wilkie. And, just to add, it would be easier for the Big East to win the AP national title then the BCS title since the BCS title game can be biased towards who plays in the national title game.

Absolutely correct. Remember when the AP voted USC the national champion while LSU was voted the national champion by the bcs? It might have been the other way around, but a split national championship can happen, and it has happened.

Just out of curiosity, what's a 'plit'?
Now that we have that out of the way, I think Wilkie is dead on. I'd love to see a 'plit' national championship. It would point out the stupidity of the current system again - in bold faced letters. A true national championship is needed. Only time will make it happen. But the time will be less with further confusion muddling the picture.
