i believe "milwaukee's best" is brewed in detroit or something.

no, the GOOD wisconsin beers are:

1) Leinenkugel's (by far)
2) Point Special (brewed in steven's point...their tagline is "when you're out of Point, you're out of town.)

any others (miller, old style, rhinelander) are just beer, IMO.

don't you love how this thread began as a discussion about hawaii's financial issues and became a discussion about beer?

god i love this board...!
:D

Hawaii's budget issues can be summed up in one contract: June Jones, king of the overpaid. I think their hoops coach is way overpaid too.
Hawaii has a much larger problem in Herman Frasier. In just two short years he came damn close to getting UAB's football program shut down. He did hire a very good basketball coach but that was the only thing he did.

The no stinking badgers quote is from the movie FM starring Wierd Al Yankovic. That movie was filmed in Tulsa by the way.

oops, I meant UHF instead of FM. For some reason I was thinking radio instead of TV.

I am very familiar with Point beer. My former employer was Ore-Ida foods for 20+ years. They had a plant in Stevens Point and guys were always bringing Point beer back to Boise to share. It was okay, but.....I never really got to try the fresh version. Some beer changes with too much travel.
