I don't have time right now to do the search, but here is a great starting point:
<a href='http://sports.mariah95.com/' target='_blank'>College Sports LInks</a>
You should be able to find that information somewhere in these links.

It could be difficult to find numbers from the private schools, because "we'll never tell..." Did you want "total package" or just base salary?

Just base.
I am just trying to get an idea how underpaid our Coach Fitz Hill is, but then again, he is yet to produce a winning season.
I believe his base is 177k, far less than Pat Hill (+400k), June Jones (~800k) and IMO, the underpaid Hawkins (not sure but isn't he around a quarter mil?)

It sounds like June Jones salary is the biggest single reason that Hawaii is in the red!

Actually, Jone's base salary from the school is closer to Pat Hill's (in the 400k+ range), the difference (bringing the total to ~$800k) being made up by private donors. Of course, there is an argument that those donations could go toward a general athletic fund and not a single coaches salary, but, realistically, a lot of those donations would not be made if Jones was not here.
As to why we have another deficit, who knows. Some blame Title IX and the fact that UH doesn't charge admission to Women's soccer or softball. I, personally, don't think that to be a logical or accurate argument. I would actually say the culprit is our state stadium authority who insists on charging the university $800k a year rent for use of the rusty palace and does not share parking or concession revenue with the University. June and the UH Athletic Dept have been fighting for the UH to take control of the stadium (or at least work out a more fiscally responsible rent/rev share plan), but there are a lot of bureaucrats looking to protect some of the states' cushy appointments. One example of this would be the authority's stonewalling of the change from astroturf to fieldturf even though the NFL had agreed to pick up a portion of the tab. I think a number of residents and fans felt like this.

We have a similar problem. Spartan Shops, who operate the Spartan Stadium who charges a liver and a kidney for a home game is killing our budget.

Wow. That's one reason I'm glad that TU owns all of its own facilities. For that matter, when doing fundraising for the new buildings (all of them on campus), TU raises enough to endow that building, so TU doesn't even rent it out to people unless they really really want to. This is especially nice, because it keeps the new places looking good longer. It's my understanding that they are also working on an endowment for our football stadium. Anyway-- it's nice not to have to haggle about the facilities.
I don't know Coach K's base salary, but I would guess it's in the 200K range. He recently turned down a raise for himself in order to give his assisstants raises.

Wow, shades of Dan Hawkins....
Hawk gave $50,000 of his salary back to the University to be allocated to his staff.
Coach K continues to impress me with his class, but it does not surprise me. Afterall, he is an Idaho boy!!!!
