We will not be able to run far enough to get away from the UK fans on this one for ages

Between that, and our defense showing the same issues that our lousy a$$ coaching staff can't FIX!

What a perfect storm for us to move on to Basketball, oh yea Palacios went down today with a knee sprain, likely redshirting, just to add to the year in year out basketball injuries.

Let Kentucky fans have their day. They are going where we have already been.

As for our overrated coach, we are stuck with him probably for 2 more years at least. I just hope we get rid of his old @$$ buddy OC and get rid of Cassity and Nelson on Defense.

As for Basketball at least we still are loaded on our frontline and I wasn't sure Palacios was going to start anyway.

More power to Kentucky. They sure helped out the top teams in The BEast today! 04-rock

I hate to sound like a realist here, but neither USF, WVU, or UC have a chance with the big dogs this year. Just given you guys a gutt check. And this is coming from a BIG TIME BIG EAST Fan

But I watch enough football year end and year out, and none of the 3 teams have a shot at anything SPECIAL this year, they are just moving up by other teams losing to very good teams.

I hope you understand if I challenge this statement.

Let's see. LSU loses to Kentucky in 3 OTs, the same Kentucky team that was extremely fortunate to beat a mediocre Louisville team at the end of regulation.

Cal is losing at the moment at home to an Oregon State team that Cincinnati blew out earlier in the year.

USC lost to a dreadful Stanford team and was fortunate to beat a nearly as dreadful Arizona team today.

And Oklahoma got beat by an unranked Colorado team.

So, I see no reason why teams like South Florida, West Virginia, Cincinnati, and even Boston College can't have a 'special' season this year. After all, there truly are no outstanding teams this year.

And someone who supposedly watches a lot of football, should know that, right? 03-wink

Cheers,
Neil

I do see your point, and my post comes across alittle pessismistic but

1. LSU takes down UK with Early Doucet, he is a playmaker like Harry Douglas for us, and that affected them BIG TIME.

2. John David Booty broke his finger at some point in the game against Stanford, probably should have come out.

3. Oklahoma at Colorado just got exposed a bit, I don't think they are NC caliber, they are about on the same level as WVU

4. Cal's game is not over yet

I agree that PARITY is spreading in college football, but going back to my statement of watching enough football, USF only has a defense their WR's and RB's can't do anything productive, WVU has no defense like my team and they are showing signs of their offense collapsing in big games, and UC just hasn't proved themselves yet, as you can see while I'm typing this they are losing to my team 28-21.

If USF or WVU end up in the NC game, then I'll be cheering for them but I don't want another UF vs tosu game and our representation being the tOSU team.

Yeah, because West Virginia doesn't have a history of doing anything special.

Latest word now is he'll be out 4-6 weeks; probably won't redshirt.

Yea I saw that, it is great news along with Jennings committing yesterday. It turned into a great night for Card fans, with the football win, Jennings commit, and Palacios injury not as bad.

I agree, Neil. Anything is possible this year. USF and WVU will both get BCS bids if they run the table. 04-rock

And regardless of the failure to make it to the mythical Nc that would culminate the greatest 3 year run in WVU history and 3 may not end it.

Thats why we play the games.
IF USF goes 12-0 and goes to the National championship then they earned it no matter what happens in that game.
