This is still the old Big East contract. The new Big East contract doesn't kick in until after this year when the Big East, essentially, takes over ESPN.

You're right, we are still under the old contract right after realignment. Next year should be much much better. Also we will no longer have the Wednesday Night game, the only way that happens is if the home school actually agrees to it.

Do not forget, also, that the USF-UCF game was indeed on ESPN-U today but every cable system does not carry that station. Perhaps the folks at ESPN are counting on angry Big East area customers, like Panite, calling their local providers and complaining in order to get those cable systems to add that channel.

The Syracuse/Rutgers game wasn't on?

It was on ESPN Regional. It was the Cincinnati "Big East Game of the Week".
