NTR but important
Just days after the US House voted to honor the religion of Islam and the month of Ramadan. House speaker Nancy Pelosi is defending the actions of the architect of the US Capitol to forbid the use of God in any certificate of authenticity. The office of Architect of the US Capitol is a low level non-elected office in charge of authenticating Flags that fly over government buildings and creating certificates to that authenticity. When US Rep Marilyn Musgrave applied for a certificate for a flag to honor an 81 year old WW2 veteran she ask for the following to be printed on the certificate.

"This flag was flown for Mr. John Doe on the occasion of his 81st birthday, the eleventh day of July, in the year of our Lord, 2007. Thank you, Grandpa, for showing me what it is to be a true patriot -- to love God, family, and country. We love you!"

When the certificate came back from the Architects office all mentions of God were removed. The excuse given was that use of terms such as "God bless you," "in the year of our Lord" and "under God" are offensive to some Americans. I guess honoring Islam is not offensive to anyone. yea right.

Read the book America Alone by Mark Stein whether you're conservative or liberal. It was very eye opening to me.

Slouching Toward Gomorrah by Robert Bork is another interesting read.

The lesson here - don't sneeze at the Capitol.

How pitiful is that.
God help those who are the cause of such.

As we are in the calendar epoch Anno Domini (A.D.), Mrs. Doublethink must think we're morons.

"The keyword here is blackwhite. Like so many Newspeak words, this word has two mutually contradictory meanings. Applied to an opponent, it means the habit of impudently claiming that black is white, in contradiction of the plain facts. Applied to a Party member, it means a loyal willingness to say that black is white when Party discipline demands this. But it means also the ability to believe that black is white, and more, to know that black is white, and to forget that one has ever believed the contrary. This demands a continuous alteration of the past, made possible by the system of thought which really embraces all the rest, and which is known in Newspeak as doublethink. Doublethink is basically the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one's mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them."
