RE: NTR but Go Cowboys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Being a Raider fan explains your anger, lol!
My husband is one too although over the years he has learned to deal with them not being very good!
As far as your prediction, thats why they play the game so we shall see!
Amazing game to watch , with all its flaws.
I have to hand it to the Cowboys though for not giving up as everything that could go bad, went bad.
Games not over till its over.
Fine example of that!

RE: NTR but Go Cowboys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well we tried our best to GIVE BUFFALO THE GAME!! Yet they still could not turn those great opportunities into touchdowns. I thought we had this game lost for sure, but I kept watching because the score stayed so close, no manner how much Romo messed up. Then, to pull it out the way the Boys did....absolutely amazing.

Umm, make that 2 53 yarders to win!
What a wierd freakin game! Go Cowboys!
Having said that, they better not play like that next week. Patriots will just carve them up.

I don't like the Cowboys (probably has to do as much with not liking any team that thinks they can call themselves America's team as much as it does growing up a Steelers fan) but Romo sure did give one heck of an interview after the game. As long as he doesn't throw 5 picks a game, he's got a future in endorsements.

Tony gets a lot of TV coverage in Dallas, of course. But, the thing I keep hearing is the women thinking how CUTE HE IS! He is already on a lot of local TV commercials and I expect his CUTENESS factor to be an asset in the area to commercials and endorsements. The game last night didn't hurt him that much....although it really could have had the rest of the team not pulled the game out.

I used to be a big cowboy fan....I read the book about things fell apart between Jerry Jones and Jimmy Johnson during those two super bowl years...two big egos battling each other. Jerry Jones will fire someone in a heartbeat if he's convinced he has that work covered and can save a $1. He's successful but impersonal to me.
The game was amazing...since the baseball playoff game wasn't that interesting. Notice the trend of coaches calling timeout at the very last second to freeze the kicker...it didn't work on the cowboy rookie.

That trend of last second timeouts will stop as soon as the kicker misses the first kick only to get a second chance due to the timeout and he nails the second one.

I apologize to you Dallas haters, but I've been a Cowboys fan since I could walk, and last night's game was incredible.
It goes without saying that if they play that poorly next Sunday, New England will kill them. If they can cut down on the mistakes (and MAYBE SCORE A TD in the 1st quarter - there's a thought!), then they've got as good a chance as anyone of knocking the Pats off. Should be a heck of a game!

It will be a very interesting and telling game. Neither team has played a tough schedule, with Dallas' opponents being a combined 6-19, and NE's being 7-17. But Dallas struggled against the one common opponent, Buffalo, that NE destroyed 38-7. Dallas also struggled with the NYG and Miami, while NE hasn't struggled with anyone.
I fully expect the Pats to win going away in this game, as I don't think Dallas' defense will be good enough to win the game for them.

Cowboys defense only gave up 3 points last night. If Anthony Henry is back, the secondary can hang with Moss and Welker. Henry leads the league in INTS.
Cowboys were in a shootout week one. Beat the crap out of Miami. Won a game that they probalby should have lost.
Both QBs have a multitude of options on offense. Both defenses play well. 2nd year kicker vs. rookie kicker. I say it's a pretty even game since it's in Dallas.

RE: NTR but Go Cowboys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've lived here for 7 years now and even though I used to HATE the Cowboys, I'm sad to say that I've come around on them a little more since Romo got in the picture. That guy is just run to watch.
So now I could care less if they win or lose.
My question is when you have the Cowboys pinned to a 63 yd field goal and the Cowboys have no timeouts. Do you NOT realize what they are going to do? You might want to cover the sidelines and heck, just rush ONE pass rusher. Doesn't make sense. Buffalo blew that one.
Other question. When the TO non-catch was called and the Cowboys ran down to spike the ball with 1 second left. How is it reviewable if they already ran the next play and they called it a catch on the field?

I think all plays are reviewable in the last 2 minutes, thats why the TO non-catch was reviewed.
Romo did have a great interview afterward.
Go Cowboys!!

the Cowboys beat Miami in the 4th quarter. It was hardly a blowout.
My point is that nobody really knows how good Dallas is. I think people are being way to generous as claiming them as the class of the NFC when they have played one of the worst schedules and have struggled in 3 out of 5 games.
