This actually appeared (for a time today, before being pulled) in the Cincinnati Enquirer on their H.S. Football Blog......I emailed them and basically told them that it was a low blow, even for them.....Please email them and as BE fans tell them they stink! The player below was a big recruit who picked O$U over UC......he played for Colerain and people thought UC might have a chance with him since his ex h.s. coach now coaches on BK's team....his last name is Clifford.

When you hear UC fans complain about local coverage...THIS is a prime example why. The people at the paper don't realize that UC is Cincinnati's school and not The Columbus State Univeristy.....

This on the heels of the City showing the O$U/Purdue game on fountain square the other night INSTEAD of UC/Rutgers....which has also caused an outrage among UC fans...

Exactly. Just to give you an example....not too long ago a Dallas Morning News sports writer wrote an article saying SMU deserved the Death Penalty because they had the nerve to hang out with the big boys back in the 70's and 80's. Basically, he said SMU had no business being on the same level with UT-Austin, A&M and Arkansas in the SWC and they got what they deserved.

That really shows you how biased newspapers are when it comes to big schools.

Clifford was never quoted as saying this...a journalist saw the picture and came up with that himself....MORON

That happened about 9 months ago.

That was 9 months ago, and the Enquirer apologized for it I believe.

That is a joke. It seems like, over the last 5 or 10 years, reporters have stepped over the line into the realms of being confrontational, arrogant and taking personal shots. Example, one local journalist talked about how he didn't like Huggins but the negative things he said about him just happened to be coincidence. Well, no one cares whether you like Huggins or any other coach, you job is to report the news, not make it. These reporters have a hard time understanding that.

At any rate it is a classic example of how pathetic our local media is...
