You line them up again and again and the Mountaineers win 9 times out of 10.
But since we lost the one that counted for this year it's all pretty much academic, isn't it?.
You said that after last year's game and I told you that South Florida would win this year and you thought I was crazy. South Florida is just great team.
By the way, it's hard to win 9 out of 10 when you have lost 2 already! J/K
Sure it can. You just have to use creative accounting, like they did at Enron.

RE: Rank the BE
I think my post has ruffled a few feathers with USF fans. THAT WAS NOT MY INTENTION! My entire point of the post IS I think WVU and USF are equally capable of winning the Big East. At this point of the season, "I" do feel that WVU and USF make it hard to pick one against the other as the clear cut #1 in the conference. YES USF defeated WVU and you did it last year as well. Some teams have others teams number and I believe USF has WVU's number. I'm not taking away from your win, you beat WVU on the field no questions ask. I will say that wasn't one of WVU's best games and it could have very well been the USF defense that caused them to play as they did. I'm not on here claiming WVU 's superiority over USF because that would be absolutely absurd. My opinion is USF's strength is their defense, where WVU's strength is their offense. If any of the USF fans took this as an excuse for the loss or a jab at USF you're mistaken. I posted my honest opinion and would expect nothing less from one of you. If you don't agree, I can respect that.

RE: Rank the BE
USF fans stop crying. Everyone is entitled to an opinion.
USF may very well run the tables and be in the discussion for the ntional title game- then all those BE fans who didn't recognize USF as the elite, well, we'll all be rooting for you to bring the New BE it's first national title. I'd root for any BE team that makes it to the title game and that goes for you too Cincy and you too UCONN. Now lets move on.

Who is crying?
Who is squelching opinions?
Who said USF is elite?
However, it just seems odd that USF is ranked below WVU on a few lists considering that we have beat them 2 years in a row.

Some of you need to relax on this issue about what team is better. Let the players on the field decide it.

I didn't see the UNC/USF game but I did watch the UNC/UM game. Proof I can't be everywhere and I can't know everything. I just have an opinion.
I will say that USF has the biggest OOC win this season for the BE (Auburn) and the biggest conference win (WVU). Is an invaluable asset to the BE and probably has the best coach in the college game. He's perfect- just what you want. He wants to win and he wants to make USF one of the BIG TWO in Florida. (Currently, they are the highest ranked team in the state.) In time, he will get everything he wants, even if he wants a national title. (Maybe sooner than I think.) He strikes me as just that type of person, a true football fanatic. Look at what he's done so far and look at how he's taken off once joining a BCS league. He even talks like Mr. Football.
USF brings respectibility to the BE. They are the fastest growing quality program ever. I certainly don't want to see them lose.
In the long run, it doesn't matter what I think. USF is writing its own history and we all get to watch.
BTW, UNC opened big against Miami but UM almost came back in the second half. I'm glad they lost. Over the past three years, I'd imagine high school kids in Florida are hearing more about USF than UM as a quality team. UM just gets in trouble and gets beat. Five titles? That was then, this is now. How long can UM's past success give them an edge in recruiting?

Follow through and USF will get more respect than you can imagine on this board.

RE: Rank the BE
I am going to change my ranking to reflect how I think things will stand at the end of the season. I think there is a strong possibility of a three-way draw at the top and at the bottom.
1/2/3) South Florida / Cincinnati / West Virginia
4/5) Rutgers / Connecticut
6/7/8) Louisville / Syracuse / Pittsburgh
I have watched both Rutgers and Connecticut play live several times already and, while I think Rutgers should win there, you never know until a game actually takes place on the field.

You think UC is #2?
We'll see about that November 17 th.
Cincinnati could come into that game highly ranked. If so, The BEast will have another late season marquee game.

I am predicting a three-way tie so the numbers up there do not really matter but, until they actually lose a Big East game, Cincinnati has a share of first place anyway.
