Wins over Toledo and NIU
Before the season began, if CMU fans knew these wins would be in our back packet, most would have been quite pleased.
Yet the Chippewa Nation is in discord, squabbling amongst themselves. Somewhere ChipDip is smirking to no end.
Sometimes we need to take a step back and remember this is just a game.

Those two wins are nice, however the three "eggs laid" so far were not so nice. Most of the squabbling has occured from excessive cenorship, and those who seem to want to make every single excuse in the book for BJ & Co.'s performance to date. Week to week , we have not been seeing a consistent football team or even consistent growth. Why should we happy about heading backwards after finally climbing out of that deep hole for years? It is just a game, and if you believe that, than just relax and enjoy it, rain or shine, win or lose, even a butt kicking. Some of us want and expect more, now that we have a taste of how it feels to have had the sleeping football giant awakened.

I had to endure the Kansas shellacking in person, as well as the one at Virginia. I did witness the Chippewas' win at San Jose State back in the late 70s.
I told myself that I wasn't going to dive into the debate over the coaching issue. That doesn't mean I'm not a passionate fan.
