In 10 years time, we will still be talking about 2003!

It takes several years to develop a bad reputation and several years to develop a good one.

Presently we play poor football, but our reputation is good.
mainly because of 2002-2006!
Presently U.I. playes great football but their 2002-2006 record stinks as does their reputation.

This team will come back!!!
Joe Novak is too good a coach for it not to.

I believe in this team, I believe in this coach and I believe in this school!

we dont recruit quarterbacks

What a bad comment. 2 or 3 last year alone. Do they not count? We had recruited a TON of QBs. They left. We have 2 TRUE freshman, but why waste a redshirt on a crap year? We have Paul Blalock from U of I who will be able to play next year.

QBs of the past few seasons:
Ullrich
Nicholson
Brown
Carr
Lowe
Grady
Harnish
Britt Davis

That's quite a few. In fact if not for a problem with "snow" for Carr (the kid from QB) he could be the starter this year. He was ahead of Horvath before that.

let me restate. we dont recruit good quarterbacks. And I impressed the fact that you read the media guide to look at all the stellar HOF qb's we have on our bench

You said we didn't recruit QBs. I just proved you wrong.

That is all I was doing there. It is one thing to complain, which with this team is perfectly ok, but it's another thing to argue a point that isn't true.

whatever pussbag. i am glad you are right.

Woah no need for that. You were wrong, suck it up. Take it.

Complain about other things. There are tons i'm sure you can pick out.

I did suck it up. You are right. You are probably that little man who likes to point out other people's mistakes. Good for you and good job.

you were wrong, shut up and move on.

Britt Davis is a bust; simple as that. He hasn't come close to living up to what he was supposed to be athlete-wise.

Let's wait and see. 1 bad year with a TON of kids doesn't mean progress was lost. What it does mean is we had some real tough luck recruiting the QB position with transfers and flunkouts. This is a lost season, sure. And i feel really bad for the 10 seniors...who, as much as I hate to say this, I don't mind seeing them go (Acevedo and Reiter can go now if they'd like).

Why did Billy Lowe transfer out?
He was the #2 QB with a shot at starting QB!
GSU has far better talent than him at that position!
He is correctly the #4 QB at GSU!

After we redshirted him, preened him for 4 years of QB, why did he leave?

What's very disgusting about this game is that CMU is the same team that got there heads handed to them last week by a 1AA team (North Dakota ST 44-14) that is only in it's 4th 1AA season. Bad for NIU, even worse for the MAC.

Well if he's the #4 at GSU maybe he is having trouble adjusting to QB? He was probably #3 here, hence the transfer. But speculating is just silly. I'm sure he had legit motives. As did a lot of those QBs listed.

Really nothing more to be said here. This season is down the tubes although I don't think it will be as disasterous as it looks now. Have to start looking at positivies. Anderson looks like he could still make it 1000 yards and be the next star NIU runner. Simon had a good game. We put up a ton of yardage. If we can just stop beating ourselves we'll be back sooner rather than later. These things go in cycles. All is not lost.

Our True Freshman Long snapper has looked good all season. Gets the ball back to the punter in real nice time!

I agree. But it is scary because at times it is as if Nicholson stares him down for 4 counts and then throws it to him. Simon may be beheaded before this season is over if Danny doesn't look off a safety or 2.

Nicholson telegraphs his passes more than any quarterback ive ever seen. This team is really in trouble next season if he is still at quarterback. If I had it my way, we would have a new head coach in 2008, as well as a new quarterback.

Dan N. 10 interceptions may lead all D1 quarterbacks in the nation. I would not be adverse to giving the #2 some playing time. I am not sure I would use up a redshirt year of Chandler H. However if this downward spiral should continue, I say give them all a shot.

I agree. 6 of those 10 INT's are in the 4th quarter, and another 2 in the 3rd quarter. NIU needs a QB that will value the football and not just sling it all over the field.

I don't know about that. Ryan Morris, 6mins or so of play. 2 INTs. Don't know if i'd say he's better. Yeah I wouldn't blow someones redshirt. This is just a down year.

Britt at Quarterback, No way
He would fumble the easy snaps and hang on to the hard ones.
Can we put somebody on special teams coverage that can catch the ball, tackle and run.
