Vince Young
Anybody watching this guy on MNF? This guy is a leader and a winner, the kind of QB I wish the Bears had. I'm not saying Grossman is finished, but he just doesn't have what Vince has..this guy gets the job done. Plain and simple. So far, Grossman has not done that. I would love to see how the Bears offense would play out with Young takin' the snaps.

Vince is not a stats man, and is a terrible fantasy player, but the guy flat out wins games

Stats are overrated.

Interstingly enough, I just ran across this note in Peter King's "Monday Morning Quarterback."
Quote:Postscript to the HBO Inside the NFL screed the other day about the meaninglessness of the quarterback rating stat:

Johnny Unitas' career quarterback rating: 78.2.

Jeff Blake's career quarterback rating: 78.0.

To elaborate on the point about meaningless stats...

Playing with one of them was once described as "like being in a huddle with God."

Here's a hint: one of those two actually is a QB god.

Isn't that what they said about Vick earlier in his career.

Kyle Orton "just won games"

Surely Brees' 4 picks and the Titans D holding Bush and McAllister to a combined 20 rushing yards had nothing to do with the titans win.

Vince Youngs ability to keep a busted play alive and keep his team on the field helps the defense. Just watch the Bears or NIU games when our defense has been on the field for the entire game and then they get dominated in the fourth quarter.

Going by that philosophy, it appears Rex Grossman just wins games too. He may throw 2 picks but most of the time the Bears find a way to win.

Rex loses games that the D/ST would have won. Lately, the D/ST for the Bears havent scored squat. Hence the 1-2 record. You cant tell me the titans would be 8-1 in thier last nine games with Steve McNair starting

Maybe the reason the Bears are losing is, oh I don't know, the fact that they're actually playing good teams this year?

Agreed, but replace Young w/Grossman and you got a whole different team.
