Linked article claims FSU was 2nd out of the 10 WAC teams in All-Academic honors...but that's not true!! Someone shoulda handed that one off to a math major, I guess. 03-wink

All-Academic honors
-------------------------
Rice - 56
Nevada - 50
Fresno - 45
Hawaii - 32
Tulsa - 30
LaTech - 27
BSU - 26
UTEP - 26
SMU - 25
SJSU - 21

Nevada claimed 49, but I checked and rechecked...it was 50. Hawai'i claimed 31...I didn't check that number.

In addition, the article claims the Bulldogs had 45 selected for the 2005 spring sports season, and additionally had 15 freshmen and transfers honored for the 2004-05 season. That is also untrue. Their total was 45.

2005 Spring Sports
Rice 36
Nevada 31
Fresno 28
Hawaii 19
LaTech 19
SMU 19
Tulsa 17
UTEP 13
Boise 11
SJSU 8

2004-05 Freshmen and transfers
Rice 20
Nevada 19
Fresno 17
Boise 15
Hawaii 13
SJSU 13
Tulsa 13
UTEP 13
LaTech 8
SMU 6

EDIT: My bad...this was an official FSU athletics site article, not a Barkboard article as I initially indicated. Also, FWIW, the article lists 44 names (29 Spring + 15 Frosh/Transfer).

Looks like Boise State has some work to do....but the newcomers seem to point that Boise State is going in the right directionl. I wish all the WAC schools could have over 50!!!!!
